"Golden Dragon Dance" is a dance that is introduced to commemorate the Senso-ji Temple main hall rebuilt in 1958. This dance named from the “Gold Dragon Mountain” of the Senso-ji Temple.
It was designed following the legend that states the Bodhisattva Kannon, to which Senso-ji Temple is dedicated, manifested in the form of a golden dragon descending from the sky, creating overnight a grove of a thousand pines—a symbol of the worldly benefit of a rich harvest.

The sight of the 18-meter-long, 88-kilogram dazzling Golden Dragon Dancing to festive music is not to be missed.

Serene, calm and very traditional. It helps you to get in touch with the traditional part of japan. The shopping streets are fun to explore and the street food is quite tasty. You can also wear a rented kimono here and take photos in traditional setting. A must visit if you want to get feeling of traditional Japan in the middle of the modern city.

The most gorgeous, and spiritual temple I've visited in Tokyo. I'm a very auspicious person, and during our visit I made a wish, and it all came true. This temple gave me a good luck charm, also my husband. Definitely we will visit again to pay our respect, and thank for all the blessings we got even during times of the pandemic.

Beautiful, colorful, and visually distinctive temple in all of Tokyo, maybe even in all of Japan. An absolute must see to anyone visiting the city. The temple grounds are accessible 24/7( free), beautiful day and night. By day, the temple is full of people in traditional kimono, and the shopping street in front has some genuinely cool and unique souvenirs. Very spiritual and amazing temple.

Beautiful time to visit, not crowded at all and could walk through the Main Street with ease. A must see place in Tokyo, really good contrast of the current modern city and traditional Japan. Lots of local food stalls with great cuisine available as well 👌
