At the 333 meter tall landmark of Tokyo, Tokyo Tower,
333 colorful koi-nobori (carp streamers) and a giant Sanma-nobori (saury streamer) are swimming in the sky. This traditional springtime event is on till 5/May.
Koinobori, meaning carp banner or carp streamer are carp shaped wind stocks flown to celebrate Tango-no-sekku, a traditional calendar event (now designated a national holiday, Children’s Day, 5th of May).
Landscapes across Japan are decorated with koinobori from April to early May, in honor of children for a good future and in the hope that they will grow up healthy and strong.
The Japanese consider carp the most spirited fish -- so full of energy and power that it can fight its way up swift-running streams and cascades.
In addition, Koinobori and Tokyo Tower are illuminated with 12 LED searchlights from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m.

If there is only one tower to visit in Japan it’s definitely this one.
The Tokyo Tower have always great events and expositions.
If you like One Piece, then your should visit it.
The view is also very impressive, maybe not as good as the Skytree but still worth it.

I really enjoyed visiting Tokyo Tower. Even though Tower itself visible from different parts of Tokyo, going all the way to the top gives a different perspective. I visited during sunset, view from the top was even more dramatic. Even though there is a fee to go to the top of the tower, it is definitely well worth it.

I don't normally enjoy touristy places, but the Tokyo tower is worth a visit. See Fuji on a good day. You can see the multiple micro climates of Tokyo from here. We spent almost 2 hours looking at the views, watching the very well produced video on the tower, and finally walking down the open air steps to the bottom (protected by fencing). At 1200¥, I would highly recommend it!

Finally, after few JR train transit, and long walk, crossing all temples and allies, we reach Tokyo Japan Tower!. In fact we could see the tower from far along the walk.
It is a must to visit, similar to all other countries local landmark towers buildings.
Took too much photos and we did spent some time inside the tower.
However, seems the mall in the tower not that much variety of foods, neither shops.
Due to time limitation, we didn't have chance to go up the tower, need to pay the entrance fee too.
Perhaps more nicer view to enter up the tower at evening.

Like in Paris, Tokyo Tower is illuminated in different colours at night. We could see it every night from our hotel room at the Grand Hyatt Roppongi. Worth staying there.
