Mar/27 - May/6, 2020 333 Koinobori and a giant Sanmanobori at Tokyo Tower 3.4
from 3/27 '20 to 5/6 '20
At the 333 meter tall landmark of Tokyo, Tokyo Tower,
333 colorful koi-nobori (carp streamers) and a giant Sanma-nobori (saury streamer) are swimming in the sky. This traditional springtime event is on till 5/May.
Koinobori, meaning carp banner or carp streamer are carp shaped wind stocks flown to celebrate Tango-no-sekku, a traditional calendar event (now designated a national holiday, Children’s Day, 5th of May).
Landscapes across Japan are decorated with koinobori from April to early May, in honor of children for a good future and in the hope that they will grow up healthy and strong.
The Japanese consider carp the most spirited fish -- so full of energy and power that it can fight its way up swift-running streams and cascades.
In addition, Koinobori and Tokyo Tower are illuminated with 12 LED searchlights from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m.

I went to Tokyo Tower originally to only see the One Piece attraction. However, when I arrived I thought I would enjoy all the tower has to offer. I was not disappointed.
The One Piece museum is any fan's dream. It has fun attractions to keep you entertained, a live show and a themed restaurant, if you're hungry. I causally made my way through the exhibitions and games with a huge smile etched on my face as I recalled all of the moments that our favourite pirate crew have been through. It's a must-see for anyone who loves One Piece. I don't understand Japanese but it didn't stop me from having such a great time.
The Tokyo Tower was next on my list. I purchased the full experience, which allowed me to head to the highest viewing platform. I went on an extremely clear day and I was able to see all the way to Mt. Fuji. If it was any clearer I may have been able to see mainland China. It was a little over priced for what you get but it's my first time on Japan and I thought it was a great experience.

It's very impressive up close. Very easy to get to by the subway. You can't miss it. The legendary tower is nestled between a busy city scape, but this doesn't take away it's beauty. My husband and I did not go up, but it's still great for taking photos of. I definitely recommend seeing this on your trip. It's iconic and well worth it.

I don't normally enjoy touristy places, but the Tokyo tower is worth a visit. See Fuji on a good day. You can see the multiple micro climates of Tokyo from here. We spent almost 2 hours looking at the views, watching the very well produced video on the tower, and finally walking down the open air steps to the bottom (protected by fencing). At 1200¥, I would highly recommend it!

Super fun landmark!
Located right by a gorgeous temple, the Tokyo Tower is a pretty impressive sight up close and personal. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower, this tower's bright colors and touristy base are a great place to stop by and visit.
Souvenirs here seem to be a bit cheaper than in other parts with just as much variety. They have a small food court with a few sit down restaurants as well as fast food options. We often for this Chinese place that wasnt too shabby.
Overall, a recommended excursion if you're in the area. Even if you're not, it's definitely a nice quick stop by.

This is one of the simple of Japan! I know it was built long time ago and Sky Tree is more popular now but I love the perfect figure and cool colour. I love to see the views from observation floor in daytime and night. I love this place and this place made me cry somehow. I personally love Tokyo Tower than Sky Tree! I will be back someday.
