※Due to the coronavirus concerns, the Spring Festival is canceled.

Roppongi Hills is the building complex features offices, apartments, shops, restaurants, and so on, in the heart of Tokyo. It is not just a building, but like a small city.
In the spring, Roppongi Hills is surrounded by Sakura cherry trees even though Roppongi area is one of the most luxurious and sophisticated places in Japan. There is a traditional Japanese-style garden, Mouri Garden which has a pond, stream, river, and trees. You can enjoy viewing Sakura cherry trees with sound of a stream in the garden.
During the festival, sakura cherry trees can be seen at the observation deck of Roppongi Hills "Sky Deck". Viewing Sakura from the observation deck is something that can't really be experienced easily!

In addition, Roppongi Sakurazaka is a small street situated behind Roppongi Hills. It's best enjoyed at night when the cherry trees are illuminated. 75 cherry blossom trees are planted along the Roppongi Sakurazaka, which is about 400 meters long. At night, cherry trees are illuminated both Mouri Garden(17:30-23:00) and Sakurazaka(17:30-22:30).

Access: a few minutes walk from Roppongi Sta.(Hibiya Line or Oedo Line)

Do you enjoy extremely tightly packed gym equipment? The company of dozens of personal trainers teaching bad form and programs based on pseudoscientific nonsense? Do you like watching micro reppers? Working out on old equipment with little flexibility? And paying a hefty premium for the privilege?

Then this is the gym for you.

This place is good for location.

Trainers, are pushy about space. They "asked" me to move aside in the middle of my reps to squeeze them and a guest in an already packed free weight area. I guess they couldn't wait until I'm done with a set.

They use the machines and benches just to massage their clients taking up space from everyone else.

The outside area next to the locker rooms gets. crowded I tried to sit at the tables outside the gym area to out my shoes and was repremanded that those tables are only for potential new customers. I ended up walking barefoot to the train station.

There's so much I can comment here since I've been to the gym regularly mostly for weight lifting.

First off, it's in a great location connected to the subway and shopping mall (either ends) so if you are working in and around Ropponggi Hills, it's really a no brainier to come here for a workout. They have micro plates (1.25 lbs) which was a big plus for lifters going for PR on key lifts. Other than that, I'm sorry to bombard this review with a ton of negatives.

Equipments are old (which is not a big deal in itself) but I cannot stand the fact that machines are literally so close to each other. For you to stack or remove weights, you have to wait for the other lifter to finish his or her sets. It's just terribly inconvenient.

Next, can I just say that there are too many personal trainers in here? I agree that most of them are teaching bad form to people generally older, and you just don't do bicep curls by swinging your arms (!) The shower facility is a let down in my opinion, small and not even fully secure (by that I mean lockers are quite loose even after you close them). They don't provide shower towels so you have to buy them, which is crazy considering how much welfare the likes of PURE, Fitness First and Virgin Active are giving.

To be brutally honest, I'm shocked at the standards of this gym in such a prime location but for what it is worth, a gym is better than no gym, and you can still do a great workout if you ignore all of the points above.

Nice gym with a decent number of bench/squat racks. Equipment is maybe a bit too tightly situated. It's kind of hard to move through the gym without getting in someone's way.

Great location for those who work or live around rlhills. However overpriced and elitist. Their main product is personal training ( don't let me start with their training plans and education. ) And there are too many of them . Too many .
