Peace, zen and nature. All are combined in the beautiful park. We walked for a few hours visiting every corner of the area. Be sure to take a seat at different benches and just enjoy your surroundings, it's so quite. The park is very inexpensive to enter and also contains a beautiful green house which contains so much different plant species. For the true biologist or plant lover, you can easily spend hours in the green house. Just visit the park when you feel tired from travelling around Japan, it will recharge you completely!

One of the most beautiful park I have ever had the lucky chance of visiting. It costs 500Yen but every damn one of those are worth it.
If you want to enjoy it even more, go while raining it gets magical (check The Garden Of Words for extra references points)

I am at peace here. It’s one of the best places to see when arriving in Japan for the first time (which I am) because it captures to essence of the beautiful gardens and trees. What’s wild is just how close it is to the very busy downtown Shinjuku. I walked here, and I’m very happy I did. 500 yen to get in (around 5 bucks). Great way to spend the morning!

Visited here on Garden day - free entry! Get in early to secure the best picnic spot, and bring a picnic rug too. Lots of nice walks and gardens. Has an indoor greenhouse with exotic plants. Limited fun (no ball games etc) and no seating.

Been there in June 2019. It's and amazing and huge Japanese traditional garden. You could easily spend the whole evening walking around the beautiful green areas or just lying around looking up to the sky. There is restrooms and vending machines available inside. Ticket is 500 yen. This is for sure a must-see if you are in Tokyo Shinjuku.
