If you love nature, this is it. Many spots for good pictures and for resting as well. I'm pretty sure you can bring in food or drinks. Also there is an entry fee. Group/Student discounts are available. Also, I think some of the attractions within the park such as the green tea house cost extra. Overall, still a very nice place to visit.

Beautiful Japanese garden. Very nice day out with a lot of walking but very peaceful. I find it's much better during the week. The price is increased during cherry blossom season.

In my opinion is better on a rainy day when you have the park to yourself and you get to soak in the tranquility.

I didn’t expect to see more but I thought I tried my luck on April 14 and found some of the late bloomer just started! It was so amazing to see so many different types of the cherry trees . Green, white, pink and red! Very calm and peaceful garden with less crowds! You can enjoy the beautiful cherry in close range and snap lots of pictures as you want. You need to pay 500 yen but worth it! Well maintained garden and you can also enjoy the city skyline view as backdrop! Worth a visit and it is just a few minutes walk from Shinjuku!

Amazing place, i can see many foreigners and also many families visiting the park. The unique part about this park is that it has varieties of plants and trees, and a huge space where you can go on a picnic (or let your kids run around and play). I recommend you coming here but you may have to line up and pay to get in (around 500 yen for adults, children are free), it won't take long though.

You would expect a Central Park to have few more setting areas and grass lands to loll about on. It’s lovely to walk around. Thick wild foliage boarder the pathways, impossible to penetrate. Large oriental gates arch the through fare. However should you feel like escaping the hustle of Tokyo for a lay down under the sun this isn’t the place.
