Ueno Park is one of the best places to see cherry blossoms in Tokyo.
The vast park is rich in nature, and has around 1,200 cherry trees along the park’s main promenade.
Ueno Park is the most crowded cherry blossom viewing spot in town as many people come for Hanami (cherry blossom viewing party) with food and drinks at day and night. Japanese lantern illuminate cherry blossoms veryt visionary at night.
Sakura-dori street is popular for the Sakura-view-point in Ueno park, which is most crowded and lively. If you want to see Sakura leisurely, Shinobazu Pond would be better, and you can enjoy paddling a small boat.

A great park, full of attractions. If you come in spring you can admire one of the most famous place to watch the cherry blossoms bloom. In other periods it is great to take a walk, visit one of the museums here or go shopping in the shopping district across the street. My favorite place are two temples, one in the pond and other overlooking it from the hill with the amazing tree growing in circle in front of it

A very beautiful park, surrounded by great museums, cafes and shrines. Great place to kill an afternoon, especially during cherry blossom season. There are often street performers of high caliber, and regular festivals. Highly recommend hopping accross the street and spending a few hours at the National Museum which is only 620 yen as of Feb 2019.

My lovely park in Tokyo. The park is always beautiful at any time of the year, at any time in the morning, day, and night. Magnificent alley's with very old trees, wonderful fountain. A lot of interesting and wonderful museums, exhibitions, zoo. Recommended.

This is a huge park in the middle of Tokyo. Inside the park, there is also the famous Ueno Zoo, where the pandas are. There are a lot of people riding bicycles and jogging in the area. It's a very nice park with a ton of greenery. Since I went during the winter, the water lilies are wilted, but it's usually a very nice display. There are some food stalls during the day, so you can grab a bite to eat if you're hungry. Definitely a nice place to check out.

A beautiful and peaceful place to visit! I can see why this park is popular with the locals. A wonderful smattering of shrines all around the area. Absolutely gorgeous.
