A great place to visit in spring. It’s just 2hrs away by train then bus from Tokyo.
We went here in spring for baby blue eyes which bloom right before the Golden week (long holiday in Japan). The view is amazing. Better to visit at either 0930am or 1500 onward to avoid massive crowds. The crowd slowly leave the park from 1530 and at 1630 the park is quiet.
Entrance ticket ¥450.

Great place for a day trip from Tokyo. The park has a multitude of flowers and sections for different seasons. The spring is famous for it's Nemophila fields and the view is spectacular. The many visitors bring their dogs and is a relaxing atmosphere for everyone. The weekends may be particularly crowded.

Big and worth visiting. At least plan for two days in good flowering seasons. Renting bicycle is good option. food trucks are available to supply some food. For vegetarians buy your own food. Staffs are very friendly .

A beautiful place, but it's quite difficult to get to and from on crowded days. We went during Golden Week and the transportation was very time consuming and involved a lot of lining up and waiting. It took nearly 3 hours each way to and from Tokyo. The park itself is massive and beautiful, containing a lot of flowers, bike paths, an amusement park, and more. A great place to spend the day, just be prepared to wait if you're going during a busy time.

We were there for spring time blue bells. it was amazing! but of course very crowded, Best time to visit is end of April and early May. We took the train from Shinagawa, Tokyo, then got a bus to the park. The bus was quite busy. Entrance was quite reasonable. The park has several themed gardens . Bicycles can also be rented inside the park.Surrounding the park are local eateries if you are hungry.
