A Shinto shrine in Sapporo. It is the main shrine of Hokkaido and is situated in a public park. The shrine itself is wonderfully designed and lives up to its name as main shrine. To experience the shrine culture it is definitely worth a visit.

Big temple in the forest. Buy lucky stuff for your love. There is sweet shop in the temple area, have a fresh grill moji with hot tea in a nice weather. Refill my energy! Nice to come here every time.

An iconic spot in Hokkaido and the most famous shrine for the local people. Recommended for foreigners as well but foreigners might find the place uninteresting - nothing much to explore, especially on the days when there are no events.

It was a beautiful cold and bright day. It was quite a long walk from the road to the entrance of the Hokkaido Shrine.
There were many tourists at the shrine. Some offer prayers while others, checking the place out.
I did not stay long in the Shrine but was outside to savour the beautiful park and trees surrounding the shrine. While waiting for the others, we were happy to make acquintance with a beautiful dog. The minder and the dog were friendly and let us play with it.
