Great. The castle with snow during winter just looked amazing. Joined a tour which include a visit to the castle. Visited the interior and castle and the view from the top of castle is just amazing. One also got to understand the history of the castle. The garden looked as good. Recommended.

This castle is a must visit place. The historic whote wooden building is surrounded by imposing stone wall and softened by the beautiful cherry blossom during April. I came in late April and the sakura petals had started to fall. And it fell gracefully when wind blew. Very beautiful indeed.

Tsurugajo-castle is symbol of Aizu region, and one of the famous battle place between new Meiji government military and old Tokugawa government military. Almost all buildings are rebuild and recovered, but you can find bullet holes at the stone walls which are original.
