Kuroishi Yosare Festival is a summer festival in Kuroishi City in Aomori Prefecture.
"Kuroishi Yosare" is comprised of three dances, Mawari-Dance(dance in a circle), Kumi-Dance(dance with taiko-drum music), and Nagashi-Dance(dance parade). About 2,000 dancers dressed in Yukata walk down the street as they dance of expressing rice plants for the Nagashi-Dance, this is the highlight of the festival.
On August 14, the eve of the festival, the opening ceremony starts from 10AM at Kuroishi Shrine and people perform Mawari-Dance from 14:30 at the main venue.
On August 15&16 are the main days of the festival. Kumi-Dance starts from PM13:30 and Nagashi-Dance―the main feature of the festival―is performed between PM 19:00～21:00.
On August 17, Furusato Genki Festival takes place along the Aseishigawa Chitosebashi Bridge riverbed with a fireworks show and a state event.
Between August 18 and 20, you can enjoy Mawari-Dance from PM19:00 to 21:00 at the Ekimae Square.
