Amanohashidate in Kyoto is a 3.6km-long sandbar which divides the ocean and Miyazu Bay with about 8,000 pine trees, and known as the one of the Japan's Three Scenic Views.
It is said that the Amanohashidate Sandbar looks like a pathway between heaven and earth by the view from the mountain.

Quite nice. The transportation here in the daytime is convenient, if you drive a car by yourself, it would be much better. If you like sea, sunshine and the blue sky, please come here to enjoy! In late May, it’s mildly warm and is quite suitable for walking along the beach. Our family members all like this beach very much! There are some Japanese restaurants, when you are hungry, choose any one of them should be fine. We chose a restaurant near the bridge which can be split into two parts.

Great scenery. The rail car that goes up to the view point is small and a bit uncomfortable when they packed over 10 people inside. There is bike rental for about $5. I enjoyed riding it and the view along the tail.

For a calmer and nicer walk with less people and touristic infrastructure, try to access Amanohashidate on weekdays and from the North. You will need a car though.

Amanohashidate is one of the most beautiful views in Japan. This strip seems like the bridge connected the land with the sky. You can see the place from the mountains around or traverse on foot inside, and you can use the boat to see it from the sea as well. There are many trees, and parks around.

A great view, calm, natural and long visiting experience from starting point...suggest to rent a bike especially in windy days...
