A beautiful park. Visited this place during spring. Loved the Wisterias and other flowers. The place was quite crowded because of the beautiful flowers blooming all over. The evening illumination is stunning too.

Ashikaga Flower Park is celebrated as one of the greatest winter illumination venues in Japan. It deserves this accolade. Come nightfall, the park is transformed into a twinkling dreamland, the fringes of which also illuminated by massive screens displaying thematic scenes. Definitely a must go for any traveler visiting the Tokyo region during late autumn and winter.

We went there to see the lights and it was worth the drive. The place is bigger than I expected. There are small restaurants and outdoor heaters inside the park. The only problem might be parking because a lot of people go there. We went on a weekday around 8pm and fortunately the place wasn’t crowded.

The most wonderful flower park I've been to in Japan. We spent almost 7 hours here and didn't want to leave. During the day the flowers are beautiful, and in the evening the garden is lit up. Plenty of places to make good photos. During the wisteria season themed ice cream is available. There is also a food court and a big souvenir shop. Admission is cheap for such a glorious place. We had to walk 20 minutes in the dark back to the station when we visited 2 years ago, but now that the new station was built just around the corner there will be no problems.
FOR THOSE WHO WORRY ABOUT BEING DISAPPOINTED, THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE HAS A SECTION CALLED 'WHAT THE FLOWERS LOOK LIKE NOW'! unlike many other places that don't pay much attention to informing potential guests.

Special event time special rate!
For parking a car from 17:00 to 21:00 it’s crazy, had to wait in line for around an hour!
Good for kids though !
