Yoro Valley is one of the best scenic spots in Chiba, which is upstream of Yoro River. Yoro River is surrounded by a beautiful forest and you can enjoy viewing trees dyed in deep reds and yellows between November and early-December. Especially momiji, vivid red Japanese maple leaves, are breathtakingly beautiful.
The highlight of Yoro Valley is Awamata Falls. You can enjoy great views of the collaboration with fall foliage. And Umegase Valley and Tsutsumori Momiji Valley are also known as beautiful fall foliage spots.

On November 23, the Momiji Festival takes place at Yoro Valley.
Pork miso soup are sold in front of Kazusa-nakano Station and Mochi rice cakes are demonstrated and sold in front of the tourist center "Yamabiko". Also at the ex-Oikawa Elementary School, you can enjoy Soba noodles, baked sweet potatos, the performances of taiko drum, and the wood carving arts.

A great view that shouldn't be missed if you're exploring the area by foot. Though one of the routes google maps gives is now blocked by electric wire, its still accessible easily and leads to a road close to an amazing Buddhist temple with a M shaped bridge.

Just to be clear this is not some organised park or something like that, it's a ravine that snakes around some villages. There is no start or finish, just park your car in one of the parking spots and go around exploring. I found Google maps with hybrid view very useful in planning my walk. Account for around 2 to 4 hours at least and bring sandwiches and water! You'll thank me later, because food options can be limited depending on what time and when you visit.
