The Nabeshima Domain Kiln Autumn Festival is held in Okawachiyama, Imari City, Saga Prefecture.
Okawachiyama is a small pottery village, produced a number of masterpiece porcelains such as "Iro Nabeshima", "Nabeshima Sometsuke" and "Nabeshima Seiji" under the domain's strict control.

Expressing gratitude toward predecessors who contributed to the development of the town, a porcelain is dedicated to Nipposha Shrine and a memorial ritual for the brushes used for painting porcelains are held as part of the festival.
The porcelain fair held during the festival offers porcelains and potteries at 20-30 percent discount and attracts a lot of visitors every year.

Beautiful nature. Good ceramic. Exelent shops. Village in the nature.

Small quited villages, not a lot of shop open. Not a lot of tourist. Pottery are pricey, hand-painted very beautiful if you can afford it. Shrine located on top of the mountain very nice to go up there too.

quaint little potter town with lots of gorgeous ceramics for sale. Surrounded by high mountains and you see the kiln's and chimneys dot the townscape. Definitely worth a visit !
