from 11/1 '19 to 11/3 '19
The Dream Yosakoy Festival takes place in Odaiba, Maunouchi, and Akihabara areas in Tokyo. The festival is based on Yosakoi dance that started in Kochi to celebrate postwar reconstruction and has spread throughout Japan. Featuring around 6,000 dancers, and watched by 950,000 spectators, it's one of the largest and highest quality festivals held in Tokyo.
Nov.1st is the eve of the festival, and the Tug-of-War event is scheduled for the first time in history.
On 2nd & 3rd of the festival, some varieties of dance performance will be shown. Everybody is welcomed to join!
In addition, there are tons of food stalls serving Japanese and international yammy food.
At the Marunouchi venue, the highlight this year is the dance performed against a backdrop of the renovated red brick building of Tokyo Station.
