Nov/8 - 20, 2019 Tori-no-Ichi Fair in Asakusa4.1
from 11/8 '19 to 11/20 '19
Tori-no-Ichi Fair is an open-air market held across Japan in November on the day of the Rooster in Chinese calendar since the Edo period.
The Tori-no-Ichi Fair of Ohtori Shrine in Asakusa is one of the biggest Tori-no-Ichi festivals in Tokyo. It is held twice or thrice every November at Ohtori Shrine. And in 2019, Tori-no-Ichi is held twice on November 8 & 20. The first fair is called "Ichi-no-Tori", and the second one is called "Ni-no-Tori".
The surrounding area around Ohtori Shrine buzzez until late at night with merchants selling gold-and-silver decorated Kumade, ornamental rakes believed to bring their owners luck.

We visited during the tori no ichi festival and it was super crowded and congested. Great experience!

Beautiful shrine in the middle of a neighborhood. It was very relaxing here. It was free to come here. Plan on spending 10-20 minutes here as it is quite small. But worth seeing if you are in the area.

In early November, the Tori No Ichi is fantastic and stay around the local bars for whole day festivities.
