Nov/15 - Dec/1, 2019 Jingu Gaien Gingko Festival3.5
from 11/15 '19 to 12/1 '19
Yellow foliage spot in Tokyo known for Ginkgo trees lasting about 300m, "Meiji Jingu Gaien (outer gardens of Meiji Shrine)" holds "Gingko Festival".
It has become famous as an autumn landscape in downtown Tokyo, and in recent years it attracts over 1,800,000 people all over the area.
The Ginkgo Festival is held when the peak of the autumn leaves comes, with lots of food stalls offering a selection of gourmet foods, stores open with prestigious specialties, and events that parents and children can enjoy. It is crowded with many people.
A golden tunnel created by 146 rows of ginkgo trees which planted in descending order of height from the Aoyama Street Entrance is emphasized for its perspective, and the landscape beauty with the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery that stands in the back is really splendid.
Lit up in the evening, and a yellow carpet with fallen yellow leaves covering the entire road is a fantastic beauty.
