The hustle and bustle of a Chinatown and it's all part of the experience.
If you have a keen ear, when walking down Shinchimachi, you'll notice that the lyrical Japanese of spoken conversations, change to the more confrontational Mandarin or Cantonese. Also that Japanese politeness gets toned down a few notches. The food on offering definitely changes to that of the Chinese cuisine, as expected.

One of tourists attractions in Nagasaki.
You can feel different ambiance in this place. Feel like in China, even you are in Japan.

It's basically a cluster of Chinese restaurants. Slim pickings as far as street food goes. The one in Kobe is better

Yet another place Japan has to offer that is rich in heritage and history. Understand, all the history is not positive. However, the Japanese have not hid it and it is available to view. This Chinatown is conveniently close to Nagasaki's "Ginza" which makes it easy to transition into the downtown area. Worth stopping for if you are in the area!
