"Nagasaki Lantern Festival" is one of the biggest lantern festival in Japan, which is originally begun as a celebration of the Chinese New Year by the Chinese marchants residents in Nagasaki.
During the festival period, over 15,000 colorful Chinese lanterns and large art objects decorate the entire city from Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown to Chuo Park, Hama-ichi, Kankodori Arcade, etc, and many other locations throughout the city.
Also, colorful attractions such as Dragon Dance, Chinese Acrobatics, Erhu(Chinese traditional instrument) Perfomance, and more are held at various locations around the city.

Chinatown Nagasaki, Nice place to take a walk and check out. Still I find te price of restaurants quiet expensive, in other areas of Nagasaki they have the same plates at a much lower price.

One of tourists attractions in Nagasaki.
You can feel different ambiance in this place. Feel like in China, even you are in Japan.

It's basically a cluster of Chinese restaurants. Slim pickings as far as street food goes. The one in Kobe is better

Yet another place Japan has to offer that is rich in heritage and history. Understand, all the history is not positive. However, the Japanese have not hid it and it is available to view. This Chinatown is conveniently close to Nagasaki's "Ginza" which makes it easy to transition into the downtown area. Worth stopping for if you are in the area!

It's alright, a bit touristy. I much prefered the old Chinatown.
