Ooka Echizen (Ooka Tadasuke) was the governor of the province of Echizen(Fukui Prefecture) and also served as a magistrate of Tokyo during Edo period. He is famous for his incorruptibility when making legal decisions.
On May 18 and 19, the "Ooka Echizen Festival" is held in Chigasaki city, Kanagawa prefecture to celebrate his wise judge. The main attraction event is a grand costume parade on 5/19 that will feature people dressed in Ooka Echizen.
