Tottori Shan-Shan Festival is the largest festival in Tottori City.
Approximately 4,500 dancers parade while dancing with umbrella decorated with bells and paper stripes. In 2014, it have achieved the world record in the "largest umbrella dance".
The name "Shan-Shan" is based on the sound of a bell ringing and the sound of water boiling from Tottori Onsen. And the Shan-Shan umbrella dance originates from the "Inaba Umbrella Dance" of eastern Tottori Prefecture.
As the finale of the festival, about 5,000 fireworks are set off with music on the final day.
