The Sumida River (Sumidagawa) Fireworks Festival is an annual event held on the last Saturday in July in Tokyo.
The fireworks are set off from two separate locations: Asakusa in Taito ward and Mukojima in Sumida ward.
The Sumida River Fireworks Festival is known as one of the three great fireworks festivals in Tokyo along with Tokyo Bay Grand Fireworks Festival and Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival.
Fireworks are launched from 2 locations (near Sakura Bridge and the Komagata Bridge area), a total is more than 20,000 fireworks set off.
Also, the fireworks competition is held between 10 groups.
