Ikutama Shrine(Ikukunitama Shrine) is located at Tennoji-ku, Osaka. Ikutama Summer Festival is held at Ikukunitama Shrine on 11 and 12 of July, and one of the three major summer festivals in Osaka.
The festival is 2-day-long, July 11th is the Eve of Festival and July 12th is the Main Festival. It features Lion Dance, Mikoshi(Portable Shrine) Parade, and Makura Daiko. A procession of Makura Daiko drum with worshippers wearing red caps is a climax of the festival.

On July 12, there is a big Mikoshi Parade which travels from the Ikutama Shrine to Osaka Jo Castle. About 700 people playing such as Makura Daiko Drum, Shishimai Lion, and carrying Portable Shrines parade through the town.

Also, there are about 1000 food stalls along the path of the shrine. Enjoy!
