Fussa Tanabata Festival (Star Festival) is held every August at Fussa City, Tokyo.
Fussa City is known for its US air base, and the festival has both of Japanese and American-style atmosphere.
Around Fussa Station, the shopping street is decorated with colorful paper stripes and ornaments. And it's illuminated at night, it makes a fantastic world.
There are various fun events scheduled such as a Princess Orihime Contest (August 1,16:00～18:30), a Star Parade (August 1,19:25～ ), a Folk Dance Parade (August 2, 17:30～20:40), and a Portable Shrines and Festival Cars Parade (August 2,15:15～18:00 ).
In addition, about 80 shops and stalls are lined along the Shin-Okutama Road.
