Due to the coronavirus concerns, the Ojima Neputa Festival has been canceled in 2020.

The Ojima Neputa Festival takes place in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture on 14&15th August every year.

The must-see event of the festival is the procession of Neputa warrior floats. The file of fan-style floats, some reaching up to seven meters tall, and the Neputa drums are the epitome of majesty. Over a dozen of these floats will parade through the event grounds to shouts of "Yayado!" You won't be able to take your eyes from amazing spectacle even as Neputa drums and festival orchestra come together for a joint performance at the climax of the day's events.

Dates: August 14 and 15, 2019 (May be cancelled due to inclement weather)
Neputa Procession: 6:40pm~ on 14th August, 6:30pm~ on 15th August
Venue: Ojima Odori market street, Ota City, Gunma (Route 142)
Access: About 20 minutes by car from the Kita-Kanto Expressway Ota-Yabuzuka IC
About 15 minutes on foot from the Kizaki Station on the Tobu-Isesaki Line
Parking Lot : about 1,000 parking lots available

8月15日、夜の天気が心配なので弘前物産展に行きました。縄かりんとうの素朴な味に引かれ 、毎年この時期を楽しみにしてます。残念ながらねぷたは、台風の影響で中止でした。弘前の皆様、お疲れ様でした。
