The Setouchi Triennale is one of the biggest art festivals in Japan and takes place in the picturesque setting of the Seto Inland Sea.
Its theme is the Restoration of the Sea, and the festival takes place on 12 small islands and 2 ports of the eastern part of Japan's Seto Inland Sea.
The Setouchi Triennale is held once per every three years from in 2010, and you can visit during three seasonal sessions(Spring, Summer, and Autumn) in 2019.
The venues of this festival are divided into two areas, eastern island venues and western island venues. You can access eastern islands by ferry from Takamatsu Port or Uno Port, and western islands from Marugame Port, Kojima Kanko Port, Tadotsu Port, Suda Port, and Kanonji Port.
