Hadano City was known as a famous producer of leaf tobacco. It can be said that Hadano's development is due to tobacco.
Tobacco Festival takes place late-September each year in Hadano, and use fire to represent the passion the townspeople's predecessors poured into tobacco cultivation. It is an exciting event filled with fire-related performances and a parade. The festival protects the history and culture of the region, as well as hands down the passion of the predecessors to the present age.
The festival features Fire Making Competition by Tag-of-War, Music Band Parade, Tobacco Song Parade, and more.
As a finale of the festival, about 3,000 fireworks will be launched into the night sky.
