"Hakata Kenjo Dochu" is the symbolic autumn event to watch the parade of women in traditional kimono. Women clad in black kimono and Hakata kenjo obi (a traditional local craft) will walk in procession, accompanied by men with flags and lanterns.

"Hakata Tomyo Watching" is one of Hakata's finest events visited by 30,000 people each year. Over 40,000 lanterns handmade by the local community will light up the area’s shrines, temples, and streets. Enjoy a magical stroll around Hakata at night, and look out for vantage points to see artfully arranged lanterns on the ground.
