Kawazu-sakura (Kawazu-zakura) is a type of early-blooming sakura cherry trees, blooming from around early-February.
Izu Peninsula is the most famous place for Kawazu-sakura in Japan, yet Matsuda Town of Kanagawa Prefecture is also a good spot for viewing Kawazu-sakura near Tokyo.
Matsuda Sakura Festival is held annually from early-February to early-March. Approximately 360 pink kawazu-sakura trees cover the slope of Mt. Matsuda, and the contrast between the pink early- blooming cherry blossoms and yellow rapeseed flowers is simply stunning.
During the festival period, there are a local market, food stalls, a mini-train, a giant slide, and music performances. Kids would have fun all the day long. Besides, you can enjoy viewing the illuminated sakura trees at night.

From the Herb Garden in Nishihirabatake Park, you can see a panoramic view of Sagami Bay, Hakone Mountains, Ashigara Plain, and Mt.Fuji as well.

The Cherry blossoms are so beautiful and the color is pink, not white as in Tokyo, then you can see mount Fuji also together with Sakura

A very good spot for enjoying cherry blossoms. Most of the cherry blossoms are the quite-pink type. Go further uphill you'll find a flower garden (300 yen entrance fee) that offers a way better scenery than the crowded area close to the entrance where a bunch of people are taking photos all over the place. They also sell some local oranges there at the garden!

Flower was awesome but you have to visit during the festival otherwise you will not see the cherry flower on the tree.
