In Japanese, "kami" have meanings either god or paper.
Ino Town in Kochi Prefecture holds a hina doll festival futuring "kami" on early-March each year.
Children wearing dolls' costumes made of paper visit the Sugimoto Shrine to pray to the god for their growth, and then parade down the street, accompanied by music of taiko-drum.
Besides the Hina Doll Parade, there are various fun events such as Paper Place Contest, local market, food stalls selling local specialty, stamp rally, and more, shceduled.
