"Higashiyama Hanatouro" is a 10-days illumination festival held annually on early-March along the ancient streets of Kyoto.
Approximately 2,500 LED lights inside bamboo lanterns illuminate a 5-kilometer walking path, from Kiyomizu Temple to Shoren-in Temple.
Visitors will be enchanted by Ikebana flower arrangement while strolling through the Ikebana Promenade, a walking path featuring Japanese traditional Ikebana art.
Besides, there are various events such as Dedication Dance Performance by Geiko(Geisha), Projection Mapping, Contemporary Ikebana Exhibition, Fire Watch Parade by local kids, Fox Bride Procession, and more, during the festival period.

Hours : 18：00～21：30
Venue : from Kiyomizu-dera Temple in the south to Maruyama-koen Park, through Yasaka Shrine up to Shoren-in Temple in the north.
