Hida-Kamioka area in Hida City holds the Konpira Night Festival on February each year.
From around 6 p.m., Mikoshi portable shines and festival floats start to parade throughout the town, heading to Konpira Hall of Tounji Temple. Yosakoi Dance Team also participates in this parade.
During the daytime, various events such as dance performances and a snack-throwing service are scheduled. In addition, there is a bazaar selling local food and Japanese sake in Umaimon Square.
At the main hall of Tounji Temple, the Konpira Ritual is held to pray for a thriving business and a safety of one's family, and Daruma Dolls brought from local people and companies are burned as a memorial service.
