Shirasagi Forest Park in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, is well known for its view of Japanese iris and fireflies flying around.
From mid-June, approximately 20,000 Japanese irises start to bloom, which burst the gardens with a range of colors.

Between mid-June and early-July each year, the Iris Festival takes place at Shirasagi Forest Park. The park stays open until late at night, and fireflies roam around the iris garden.
Visitors can enjoy various events such as a bare-handed trout fishing, a fireflies watching tour with a guide, stage events, a night cafe, food stalls, a photo contest, and more.

Enjoy the mystical and dreamy night that fireflies light up the iris garden.
