-------------------------------------------------
"Wind Chime Festival" is a 2-months festival held every summer at Ofusa Kannon Temple in Kashihara City, Nara Prefecture.
The festival features around 2,500 wind chimes (or Fu-Rin) hung throughout the precincts of Ofusa Kannon Temple.
Wind chimes were originally a fortune-telling tool in China. Since they've arrived in Japan through Buddhism, wind chimes have been used to expel any lurking evil spirits.
The refreshing tones of over 2,500 wind chimes sounding simultaneously in a summer breeze are beyond words. Visitors also can have green tea and shaved ice at the tea house while enjoying sound of wind chimes.
Besides, an exhibition and sale of the wind chimes around the country is also held.

This is one of the temple of 八福神( seven fortune gods) in Nara. This is famous for rose garden and Japanese garden begins the temple. Pretty and calm place.

It was a small but fun temple.
The children in the neighborhood also visited us intimately, and I was able to relax.
It's a local temple.

Until now, it was a temple famous for wind chimes, but it was fun to see a lot of killifish kept during this time.

The last visit to the Yamato Seven Lucky Gods Hachiho Sacred Ground was Ofusa Kannon. I used to go through a nearby area, but the parking lot was difficult and the time was limited last time, so I gave up, but I couldn't help it. .. .. Today, I parked in a distant parking lot and walked 200 meters. It's a small location, but it was a venerable Kannon. In the garden, there was a Japanese garden and a teahouse. There are many killifish. I paid the admission fee for "Sennyu-ji Temple" and saw the inside of the temple. You can see the statues of En no Gyōja, Amitabha triad, Senju Kannon, Eleven-faced Kannon, Benzaiten, Narudo Buddha, Birth Buddha, and more.
