Kantei-byo Temple is a Chinese mausoleum dedicated to Kanwu who is a famous general of the Three Kingdoms. Yokohama Kantei-byo Temple exists in the center of Yokohama Chinatown as the soul for Chinese people living in Japan.
In 1862, a Chinese man opened a small modest shrine while holding a wooden Kanwu statue. This is said to be the beginning of the Yokohama Kantei-byo Temple. Its gorgeous and luxurious building is packed with impressive traditional Chinese architectural technique.
