This beach area, opened in 2008 within a marine park, has a 550m-long stretch of white sand. Kira-kira means "sparkling" in Japanese and this beach lives up to its name with pristine waters. There are modern facilities equipped including bathrooms, showers, coin lockers and changing rooms complete with an overlook and a swimming protection net. The beach has greenery space where you can enjoy barbeque.

This is an ideal place for families with children because there is an amusement area attached in the park. The park is so spacious that you can also enjoy playing baseball or frisbee. The huge car park is free of charge. It is worth a 30-minute drive from Naha to visit here.

While I was there a flea market was happening in their car park. Sad about the rain but will be back

A bit dirty with sea weeds, not big swimming area. Boring place.

Great spot. They rent out kazebo areas and tepanyaki grills. Beach and play area is
nearby. Parking is easy. Definitely recommend and will be out there myself again

Great beach, open or closed. Many things to do when closed such as relaxing in a pavilion drinking a beer or reading a book while ever so often watching the beautiful turquoise water, listening to the waves crash. Or, build a sand castle. Much more to do when it opens!
