Umeda Sky Building Observation Deck4.8
The sprawling Osaka City can be viewed from the top of the Umeda Sky Building, a futuristic twin-tower complex located at the center of the Kita district of Osaka. Affectionately dubbed "Arc de Triomphe of Osaka", the 170 meter-high complex has an 360-degree observatory at the top.
The observation deck, selected as one of the 100 most beautiful sunset-watching spots in Japan, is also a place to marvel at million-dollar night views. The restaurants and cafes on the 40th floor offer relaxation with good views. To take home a lasting moment of Osaka experience, drop in at souvenir shops on the 39th floor.

The view up on the observation deck is impressive. Definitely worth a visit. Better arrive at least half an hour before subset to make sure you get a good position to enjoy the view. This place is free to visit if you get the Osaka amazing pass.

Great views, but get there early, or be prepared for a little wait. There are often special events too, all detailed on the official website. Make sure you go up to the very top where you can go outside onto the viewing platform. If you take the willer bus, it's in the adjacent and connected building, so it's worth a quick visit! Not expensive either. There's a bar serving a surprising amount of world beer too.

Umeda Sky Building is the second highest building (could be wrong) in Osaka, with a transparent elevator which takes you over 100 meters in less than 30 seconds. The Main Observatory level requires a ticket to enter, but you can ride the elevator up for free. But do note that things will get really crowded at peak hours, leading to wait times up to an hour or over. The ticket is one time use (at time of visit) and is not reusable. I really enjoyed my stay here, would recommend.

The views are just amazing. Going up will bring you eventually to an inside observatory. Till this point it's free. Going to the roof however will require payment of 1500 yen. Still very much worthwhile the money. I would recommend going sometime before sunset as it can get quite busy to look at the sunset.

What a beautiful building. Impressive with the hanging garden. Entry was 1500 yen and not 1000 yen as Lonely Planet told us. Worth every sen.

Since I was born and grew up in Osaka, I know this spot well. By the way, there are many other tourists spots in Osaka City, such as Dotombori, Shinsaibashi and Osaka castle. I can also guide these spots. Please visit Osaka!
