Umeda Sky Building Observation Deck4.8
The sprawling Osaka City can be viewed from the top of the Umeda Sky Building, a futuristic twin-tower complex located at the center of the Kita district of Osaka. Affectionately dubbed "Arc de Triomphe of Osaka", the 170 meter-high complex has an 360-degree observatory at the top.
The observation deck, selected as one of the 100 most beautiful sunset-watching spots in Japan, is also a place to marvel at million-dollar night views. The restaurants and cafes on the 40th floor offer relaxation with good views. To take home a lasting moment of Osaka experience, drop in at souvenir shops on the 39th floor.

Great view of the city and interesting experience climbing the escalators. Unfortunately, we couldn't visit the sky garden as it was undergoing repairs from the typhoon. We could still go up to the 31st floor (for free) and admire the view and do some shopping. Very well organized too.

Awesome spot to see the overlooking of Osaka. One of famous tourists destinations in Osaka that you'll enjoy with the Osaka Amazing pass. Best time to go here is before sunset 523pm (west side of Umeda Observatory) then wait for an hour to enjoy more of the breathtaking views.

Nice view over Osaka. If you are in the area and have time to spare, give it a shot. Open until around 10 pm, so you can take some great night photos from there.

Good views of the city and beautiful architecture and engineering. As an experience though I find skyscrapers a bit repetitive, but the architecture here differentiates this one a bit - cool floating escalator (see video). Free entry before 6(?), we arrived just after though. Also, ‘sky garden’ was a bit misleading, as there were no plants or greenery!

Only go if you have the Osaka Amazing Pass that includes free entry to various tourist places and free bus & subway. Not sure I'd pay the full rate to go up.
If you do visit using the pass make sure you visit before 6pm. We didn't know and turned up at 6:17pm only to be told we would have to pay. We just left and came back the next day.
The rooftop garden was also damaged by a typhoon a month ago and has been closed since. Not sure when it will reopen.

Since I was born and grew up in Osaka, I know this spot well. By the way, there are many other tourists spots in Osaka City, such as Dotombori, Shinsaibashi and Osaka castle. I can also guide these spots. Please visit Osaka!
