Ena Gorge (Ena-kyo)3.5
Ena-kyo Gorge is a scenic area with a narrow artificial lake and its surrounding area in Ena City, Gifu Prefecture. The lake was formed when the Oi Dam was built in the 1920s on the River Kiso-gawa as Japan's first dam for power generation. Here you can enjoy the nature all the year around - cherry blossoms and azaleas in spring, fresh green in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and migratory birds and snowy landscapes in winter. Bizarre rocks, formed by weathering, can also be seen around the lake, including the mushroom-shaped Kasa-iwa (Umbrella Rock). A boat tour around the lake is highly recommended.

Nice view and the park is very well maintained.
Early morning in autumn made for a nice scene, mist off the water, beautiful blue sky, and ice underfoot, great!

Came in April. Took the Enakyo cruise. Saw some rock formations and nature. The Enakyo Park was beautiful though with cherry blossom, plum blossom and Shibazakura.
