This ropeway, which takes you to the Central Alps Senjojiki Cirque (aka Senjojiki Kar) at the foot of Mt. Hoken-dake in Nagano Prefecture, features Japan's largest elevation gain (950 meters). It takes you from Shirabidaira Station (altitude 1661.5 meters) to Japan's highest terminal station, Senjojiki Station (altitude 2611.5 meters) in 7 minutes and 30 seconds. When you get off the ropeway, you can have a great view of the Southern Alps Mountain Range, Mt. Fuji and Yatsugatake Mountains over the cirque, which is covered with alpine plants in full bloom in summer.

Nice 7min ride to the tallest ropeway station in the country... There is a small restaurant and a shop on the top. Coin locker too...
