Japan's first all-weather, indoor theme park, Sanrio Puroland in Tama city is the place you can meet Hello Kitty and other cute characters of Sanrio. The most popular is "Kitty's House" where you can peep at Kitty's dreamlike room any girl fancies for. If you visit on your birthday or in the month of your special anniversary, you will be celebrated by many of Sanrio characters.
There are live shows and events with visitors' participation, and you can purchase character merchandise only available here. Events change from season to season to your enjoyment. You will absolutely gloat over gorgeous moments to your satisfaction.

Fun place to bring your children. Queue is quite long but it's worth the wait. Food and drink is delicious at the buffet. Buffet is nice and quiet. The boat ride is great! I got my portrait done by an old man in front of the gift store and it looks so realistic! The gift store has so many items and plushes, so I have many souvenirs from there. Gift store bags have cute Sanrio Puroland characters on it!

A great experience for your Sanrio/Hello Kitty-loving kids. Great shows, plenty of Hello Kitty items that aren’t available in the states and the restaurant ( we ate at the character buffet) was awesome. The characters were very attentive. We got some excellent pictures and memories. Would definitely recommend.

Cuteness overload!! My kids (oldest at 8) loved it, but not sure if it would appeal to 'hardcore' theme park enthusiasts as the park is mainly centered around the popular characters and does not offer thrill seekers anything. Its a must if you are in Tokyo, even just to tick off your 'to-do' list, but, it's an attraction where one visit is probably all that you need.

Great place to bring the whole family. Look for discount code on their website for special event days and rainy days. You cannot go wrong visiting this theme Attraction. The food is reasonably priced and tasty.

Ahh... things dads do for their daughters. Spent about half a day at this place, and it's about the right amount of time. We were there on weekdays, there were still a crowd; but not packed. The musical shows on the main hall was great. Colourful light show and aerial acrobatics is part of the performance. There are a few scheduled shows in smaller theater rooms as well. This place is more of a walk about theme park to meet the Sanrio characters. Thrill seekers can give this a pass.
