This is a large public park built on the site of the 1970 World Exhibition in Osaka. Some facilities used in the expo still remain, including the Japanese Garden, the Japan Folk Crafts Museum, and the symbolic Tower of the Sun. The compound is very spacious and is a good spot for a pleasant walk and a picnic, especially in cherry blossom season.

A 300m-long elevated walkway in the park provides a chance to study life in forest. The nearby Ethnology Museum is another attraction to take a half day.
