Osaka Castle Park4.7
The Osaka Castle Park is truly a gigantic oasis of the city. This park is about 100 hectares of green space, picturesque moats, huge stone walls, walkways lined with plum, apricot, cherry and maple trees, and carefully tended flowery gardens. It is very tranquil and clean, and is a good place to have family outing or weekend picnic. The castle's illumination at night is also fantastic.
It is recommended to spend at least half a day, whether or not you want to enter and climb the castle. It is quite a big park, accessible from several different stations. Don't forget to take a picnic rug and lunch with you !

One of the main tourist destinations when you go to Osaka. Enjoy the scenery surrounding the castle as well because it is very nice, especially during the fall/winter months. It was quite a walk to the castle, but there are signs to point you there. There is an entrance fee for the castle, but is free if you buy the Osaka Amazing Pass. You can either walk the stairs to the top floor or wait for an elevator. At the top there is an observatory. Walking down, you will pass a lot of exhibits of the history of the castle. Great if you like history and culture.

Love the mysterious aura of the building as you approach it. The interior is many floors of the building's history which is worth the read - from wars to the actual architecture of the castle. The shops inside were actually affordable and looked beautiful. Highly recommended!!

This is one of the beautiful white Castle in Japan and situated in Osaka. It's natural view is very beautiful. But they have only one ticket counter, so it creates a long queue. There's a restaurant and a garden nearby.
A must visit place in Osaka.
Ticket price: 600 yen.

Really great experience. Very pretty from the outside and the inside had been turned into a museum with Japan's history which is very cool. There is a lookout at the top floor as well. Unfortunately there is no ventilation in the castle so walking through in warm or hot weather is quite unpleasant.

Gorgeous, even though we went in autumn and it wasn't cherry blossom season. You go through a lovely park to get to the castle, make sure you're comfortable walking. Each floor of the castle walks you through the founder and his history. There's a lovely view from the rooftop. If you're in Osaka this is a must-see!

Please take a look at the pair of golden dolphin-like ornaments set on the roof. It is called “Shachi-hoko” It is believed that Shachi-hoko has a special power for preventing fire, although this Osaka castle has been burned down before...
