Tokyo Sealife Aquarium4.4
This aquarium in Kasai Rinkai Park has been very popular since its opening in 1989. The whole structure is a 31m-high glass dome, which is easy to spot from a distance, and houses a huge 2,200-ton donut like tank for large fish like skipjack tunas and yellow-fin tuna to circulate. The exhibit of more than 100 penguins is among the largest of its kind in Japan.
One section provides panels to learn about the environment inside Tokyo Bay and outside including the Ogasawara and the Izu islands. Other highlights include rarely seen fish off Australia and in the Arctic and Antarctic areas, and some species from Tokyo Bay and the nearby waters which are familiar to Japanese cuisine. Near the aquarium is a seabird garden recommended to those interested in the creatures in the sky.

It's an amazing place. You can see the penguin there. A lovely place to spend with children, family or by alone. Not only the acquriam but also the outside of the park is eye soothing. In outside you can do picnic or camping. The place is easily accessible by public transport.

Typical aquarium with exotic fishes. This one has an outdoor portion with penguins. We went during the Golden Week so there is no fee nor admission which is a bonus! There was a long line with tonnes of people but it moved quickly. It also has a picnic site at the end to enjoy some daylight with your family. There are some food trucks outside as well. It is a great half day trip if you are in Tokyo.

Great and cheap aquarium with many tanks. However tanks are not decorated nicely and the place is a long walk from the station

A great day out and excellent value for money. If You hold a foreign passport bring that along for a discount on the admission tickets.

Amazing place to take the kids. First, admission is free for children up to 12. Second, it's cheap, only 700 Yen for adults and you get a discount of you show a Tokyo guide book. The place is well maintained with lots of opportunities to see feeding for tunas and penguins. Worth spending a few hours here.
