Tokyo Sealife Aquarium4.4
This aquarium in Kasai Rinkai Park has been very popular since its opening in 1989. The whole structure is a 31m-high glass dome, which is easy to spot from a distance, and houses a huge 2,200-ton donut like tank for large fish like skipjack tunas and yellow-fin tuna to circulate. The exhibit of more than 100 penguins is among the largest of its kind in Japan.
One section provides panels to learn about the environment inside Tokyo Bay and outside including the Ogasawara and the Izu islands. Other highlights include rarely seen fish off Australia and in the Arctic and Antarctic areas, and some species from Tokyo Bay and the nearby waters which are familiar to Japanese cuisine. Near the aquarium is a seabird garden recommended to those interested in the creatures in the sky.

Beautiful big aquarium nested in a wonderful park. You should make this a one day trip and first visit the aquarium and then have a picnic in the park or on the beach. Which ever you choose it will be amazing. The aquarium is really nice and if you have kids they will have so much fun here. In addition to seeing many species of fish and marine life you can actually touch some of them. Also, the penguins are always fun to watch. One of my favorite spots in Tokyo especially with the kids. An excellent aquarium especially for the price! The kids always learn so much here! We drive all the way across Tokyo to go here and it is so worth it.
It's a great and beautiful place for the family and kids. You can see and even touch different sea creatures here. Brilliant design of the building itself! The fish tanks are classified by the habitats worldwide such as those near Japan, deep in the ocean, or Great Barrier Reef. The introduction of each of them is informative even to kids. This is a place for families going for a trip!

Interesting place overall and worth the 700 yen. You can touch sea urchins; that was nice. However, there are not many larger animals and most fish basins look boring and rather small (to me, but I'm not an expert).

I liked it but it is getting a bit dated and the exhibits are plain. Most of the tanks in the beginning just featured a large rock in the middle with a blue painted background. The coastline exhibit with the wave pool was top notch thou. Taking some hints from the Vancouver, BC, Canada Aquarium would help. That being said this is still well worth the visit.

This is not the most impressive or atmospheric aquarium I ever visited in Japan but it's a good one, big and with different zones. I feel it can be especially educational if you are with kids, but not worthless without them. The exterior is impressive. A cafe and souvenir shop are of course present.

It is suitable as a recession place with family. Baby strollers can enter the location. Visiting this location is recommended on weekdays. When we visited yesterday, we many groups of students who travelled with their teachers. The site is very well maintained at affordable prices, even free for children under 12 years. If we bring food, there is an excellent location for eating food outside the building, near the restaurant. The bustling area of visitors is in ponds of tuna, penguins and sharks. Maybe missed, we did not find dolphins and whales. It will be more interesting if there is a special cinema room for the introduction of the world of water, in the form of video in general, or 360 degrees.
