This small town in the southwest of Tokyo is very popular among young people. The town's maze-like alleys are randomly packed with vintage clothing shops, gadget stores, secondhand record shops and bookstores, bakeries, cafes, theaters and live houses, most of which are fashionable and classic. Large office buildings are rarely seen and many of the alleys are inaccessible to vehicles. It is lots of fun to poke through this neighborhood in search for your favorite items.

The town is home to performance venues, with a dozen of small theaters attracting young people. Theater Festival is held during the month of February.
