Nebuta House Wa Rasse4.0
This museum was opened in 2011 and shows history of the summer festival, Aomori Nebuta Matsuri, displaying art works of illuminated floats used in the past. In the atrium are several life-size floats with very impressive, larger-than-life images. The words "Wa Rasse" are coined to mean harmony ('wa') with 'rasse', the spirited shout in the festival.

The museum is based around the floats which are paraded during the Nebuta festival. Beautiful floats. Educational museum.

Wow. Amazing craftwork. After the show, visitors are invited to try hitting the drum and playing with a cymbal according to their tune. Visitors will have a chance to dance like the way the annual ceremony is held during Aug 2-7.

A small but interesting museum about the nebuta festival of Aomori
Think of it as a behind the scenes look as you can get up close and personal with some floats (impressive in themselves) and also participate in the music n dancing that make up a big part of the festival. Top points for the interactivity!

Had lunch here as one of the few places on this street that were open for lunch. You get to sit on the floor (but there's a hole under the table for your legs) and are asked to leave your shoes in a locker as you come in. Obviously you should do that. Really nice place and I imagine it's even better in the evening.

Good tradition museum. Nebuta is a festival. Nebuta made from wood paper and light.
