Aomori Prefecture Tourist Center ASPAM4.0
This is a 76m-tall tourist information building in a shape of pyramid or "A", representing the first letter of Aomori. It has a multitude of souvenir shops and an observation platform at the top offers splendid views of the bay and the city. Throughout July, you can overlook the making of Nebuta floats in the nearby park. Musical performances using the Aomori's famed instrument 'Tsugaru Shamisen' are frequently held here.

This place is a perfect spot to explore from. Little gift shops inside with helpful tourism office upstairs. It's a short walk to the Nebuta museum, the apple focused A-Factory (pick up a huge delicious apple for not a lot), plus a lot of artwork dotted around the boardwalk. And the rest of Aomori is easily accessible on foot.
There's motorcycle parking to the right (as you look at the building), it's a reserved area in front of the pay car park, it's free too.
Coin lockers for storing your gear are on the left hand side of the building (the entrance nearest the bus park) and are very reasonably priced.

A interesting building situated by the waterfront in aomori. It looks better at night when it's lit up.
As I understand it's a conference centre with some shops and restaurants along with a tourist information site on the first floor.
Higher up there's a couple of restaurant's that must be a bit romantic at night .
There's a small charge to go to the very top at the observation deck though aomori hasn't the best view around like Tokyo.
Best thing to do is buy some local delicacies on the ground floor bring it up to the first floor to the tourist information bit where they have ample seating and tables with a view across the bay.
Have a nice lunch will browsing where to go next with all the brochures you're going to grab.
Good spot to pass a couple of hours and relax.

Underwhelming. It's an impressive building but there's actually not too much inside. The first and second floor contain some small shops, the 13th floor has an observatory. The observatory has a fantastic view of the city, but the admission price is ¥400.

Cool triangular shaped building on the Aomori waterfront with an observation deck on the 13th floor that costs ¥400 to enter. The building contains loads of shops and restaurants and has a lot of tourist information available for free. There are often musicians playing here that you can sit and enjoy or market stalls at which you can buy hand made goods.

Cool looking building with tourists information about the area. During the nebuta festival we could see the floats being prepared.
