This is a museum dedicated to Tachineputa, gigantic floats measuring 22 meters in height and weighing nearly 20 tons that are used in the summer festival of Goshogawara .

The city is a 1-hour drive west of Aomori and holds a float festival in the same week (early August) as in the latter. This festival is recommended because it is less crowded and the floats are so tall that you are guaranteed to get a great view almost anywhere along the street.
