One of the most famous haunted ruins in Japan, this dilapidated building (a.k.a."ghost pension") is probably the spookiest place in Fukusima prefecture. A series of ominous events happened here, such as murders and suicides by hanging and burning. The pension lost customers, driving the pension owner crazy to kill himself in the wine cellar and his demented wife to kill her own son.
The passage to the wine cellar in the basement is said to have existed near the mantelpiece, but it seems blocked today. Some people claim to have met the owner's ghost in the woods, asking them to visit the pension. Others insist that they saw his wife standing by the 2nd floor window, or that the 1st floor window panes are marked with countless handprints of a child. Inside is heavily ravaged and visiting here at night is very dangerous.
