Red Brick Warehouses4.1
The Red Brick Warehouses are a pair of historic landmark buildings in the Minato Mirai district of Yokohama. This is a very popular date spot, particularly after dark when the red-brick walls are atmospherically lit up and there is a marvelous night view of the port.
The Building No. 1 has a concert hall and art galleries, serving as a trend setter of cultural activities in Yokohama. In the Building No. 2, you can enjoy a huge variety of restaurants and unique boutiques. In between the two buildings is an open courtyard-like area, where a skating rink and a giant Christmas tree are set up in the winter season. In summer, you can have a wonderful time drinking beer!

If you are fancy to buy some luxurious products there, don’t pick this shopping place. However if you support local handicrafts and enjoy the friendliness, do give a try. Easily accessible by subway. The harbour view in the night time is marvellous

There was a Christmas market selling German food and the lights were beautiful. Japanese couples and families enjoyed their time there a lot. The Christmas tree was also stunning. The Red Brick House looked gorgeous at night. There’s a lot of restaurants and shops selling souvenirs and small gadgets.

The Red Brick is excellent for photo opportunities. Located right by the water, it is convenient to take many great pictures. Shopping is unique but sub par depending on your taste. I find the shops to lack personally which is why I give this 4 stars instead of 5. Definitely worth a day trip to check out and the surrounding area. Avoid parking here if driving as parking tolls can be very expensive. It was 3000 yen for 4 or 5 hours.

The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse consists mainly of two sprawling multistorey warehouses selling boutique hipster fare, from wallets and bags to trinkets and collectibles. Apart from shopping, a wide variety of food options is also available, though if you're looking for something authentically Japanese, you're probably in the wrong place.
If you happen to be there this December, the path between the two buildings light up, transforming into a Christmas-themed market filled with German-inspired cuisine. The festive market is definitely worth checking out, but don't get overly excited about the food or the availability of seating space. A veritable ice rink is also available to the right of the market, and costs 1200 yen per person to enter.

But, my recommend is to approach from sea! You can get on board "Sea Bus" from Bay Quater Yokohama or Minato-Mirai. This short ship trip is very comfortable and you can find another "face" of this bay town.
