Red Brick Warehouses4.1
The Red Brick Warehouses are a pair of historic landmark buildings in the Minato Mirai district of Yokohama. This is a very popular date spot, particularly after dark when the red-brick walls are atmospherically lit up and there is a marvelous night view of the port.
The Building No. 1 has a concert hall and art galleries, serving as a trend setter of cultural activities in Yokohama. In the Building No. 2, you can enjoy a huge variety of restaurants and unique boutiques. In between the two buildings is an open courtyard-like area, where a skating rink and a giant Christmas tree are set up in the winter season. In summer, you can have a wonderful time drinking beer!

This was such a fun place to go. The exterior was beautiful, right on the water. And the inside was littered with fun shops and food.
If you are here in the winter there is an ice skating rink right outside.
In one of the stores I bought a cute Japanese style coin purse and beautiful hair clips.
Good place to buy gifts for loved ones. The prices are fair (for the most part) and the shops I went to they offered the option to wrap.

This is a warehouse converted into a shopping mall. The interior is quite narrow, but provides a unique feel to each of the shops. Outside there are usually festival shops, such as the Christmas themed ones during the winter. There is a ton of food choices and they provide free self-serve drinking water. A big plus.

It's is a nice looking building at a prime location. Good for photos and family events or just a relaxing day by the seaside. There's a lot of restaurants around here as well. However if your motive is to find interesting things to buy, this is not the place. Just my two cents.

Went for Christmas. It was a madhouse, but in a controlled way. Loads of German food and beer, with yummy cheeses and the random Santa walking around. Very welcoming to residents and tourists alike, as well as adults and children. Inside the warehouse is clean and rotatingly interesting. The history is as beautiful as the views. Go, for sure, preferably around a holiday!

This reminds me of distillery district in Toronto Canada. Very good window shopping, some unique made in japan items. Good venue to bring a date! By the water was nice, and easy underground parking. Perhaps we were day on a week day, the market was quiet.

But, my recommend is to approach from sea! You can get on board "Sea Bus" from Bay Quater Yokohama or Minato-Mirai. This short ship trip is very comfortable and you can find another "face" of this bay town.
