Red Brick Warehouses4.1
The Red Brick Warehouses are a pair of historic landmark buildings in the Minato Mirai district of Yokohama. This is a very popular date spot, particularly after dark when the red-brick walls are atmospherically lit up and there is a marvelous night view of the port.
The Building No. 1 has a concert hall and art galleries, serving as a trend setter of cultural activities in Yokohama. In the Building No. 2, you can enjoy a huge variety of restaurants and unique boutiques. In between the two buildings is an open courtyard-like area, where a skating rink and a giant Christmas tree are set up in the winter season. In summer, you can have a wonderful time drinking beer!

Hipster spot that is filled with interesting shops. Great destination to go for drinks, food, or shopping. Many of the workers I interacted with spoke enough English to understand each other, which is good because I don't know Japanese, thank you! Just as impressive as the buildings itself is the view from outside where a lot of people where enjoying the view of the docks or city. Would make a great spot for a date!

Rustic old red bricked warehouse converted into a distinctive high end local handicrafts centre... Handmade leather accessories are available.. Tasteful knick knacks are meticulously hand crafted... Lots of food eateries with an Indian halal outlet available.. To protect competition with the local products, photography is not allowed in the premises..

Beautiful warehouses along the ocean front. There’s restaurants on the bottom levels with clothes, bespoke boutiques, and lots of cute souvenirs. I would recommend walking into the balcony and taking in the view (as well as ringing the bell). A beautiful place to spend a few hours and free entry!

The exterior of these buildings are made of red bricks and it looks very nice after sunset.
It feels like the Middle Ages but inside is modern. Most of Japanese tour attractions are old but the interior has been remodeled.
Shops and restaurants. That's all. Nothing special.

This is my favourite area in Yokohama. The red brick warehouse is a great place with lots of nice little shops (and I don't like shopping), as well as cafés of all sorts. The buildings in themselves are also interesting to see from the inside.

But, my recommend is to approach from sea! You can get on board "Sea Bus" from Bay Quater Yokohama or Minato-Mirai. This short ship trip is very comfortable and you can find another "face" of this bay town.
