In Itadori Valley of Seki City, there is a pond without name but called "Monet's Pond". Monet is of course a famous French impressionist painter Claude Monet.

Transparent water of this pond, white sand on the bottom, and many floating water lilies resemble the scene of a Monet's Masterpiece "Les Nymphéas (Water Lilies in English)".

This pond attracts a lot of tourists nowadays. Most of them are trying to take photos with water lily flowers but, of course, water lily flower is highly seasonal. In the Monet's Pond, it's best between May and October.
