Update: it's been a few years since my last visit, and the museum had moved to a new venue. In the process, unfortunately, they reduced the number of activities offered. Now, it's mainly the 3rd floor with 10 small areas and a show stage that offers 2 different 12.5 minute shows per day. Much smaller than previously! Nonetheless, they jacked up pricing to 2,200 JPY per person - which I clearly classify a rip-off now. This, i reduce my former 4 star rating to 2 stars.

Also, the place is probably most appropriate for toddler age kids.

Our toddler daughter was happy, and that's what counts. Admission of JPY 1'500 is per person, which makes it quite steep. Area itself is quite small.

2.5 year old loved it. Spent 2 hours running around. Entrance fee a bit high but you get a fun show, meet the characters & lots of staff keeping the place clean & tidy. We've nicknamed it pre-school Disney as it reminds us of Disney a lot. Nice variety of prices in the gift shop so the kids got a cheap little something to take home with them which really made their day extra special. 4/5 stars as it would have been nice to have been able to take the stroller in with us rather than having to park it up outside & more activities would be nice but overall it was great fun & we would recommend it to others.

It's indeed a kids paradise. If your children loves Anpanman, this is the best place to bring. On the first floor is free entrance and a lot of souvenirs shop, snacks, foods, games and place to eat like cafeteria. When you come, they will check both your kid and parents' body temperature. They also tell us to always wear mask. So it's pretty safe to go. And on the second and third floor is the Anpanman museum itself. We went there last year during the renovation, so not so much to do. But now, we are not going there again because the ticket were sold off 😅. Hopefully can come there again. My daughter loves is so much.
